You can create links before verifying
If we can read the page's own card, signing in is all it takes. A page whose card we cannot read — some commerce sites block bots — cannot be linked yet. The default share address of a link you create keeps the destination host and path in it, and the card carries the original title and image, with the destination host in front of the description.

Free accounts create 30 links a month. The count resets on the 1st, Asia/Seoul time, and links you remove do not give the count back. Per-minute rate limits still guard against abuse, and a 100-a-day cap applies on top when you create through the API or MCP.

Frequently asked questions
No. Rewriting a card opens only for a domain whose ownership has been verified. For an unverified destination, the original page's title and image are shown as they are, with the destination host added in front of the description. If we can read that original card, signing in is all it takes to create the link; a page whose card we cannot read — some commerce sites block bots — cannot be linked yet.
On the domain verification screen in the app, copy the TXT value, add one record to that domain's DNS, and press verify. DNS usually propagates in a few minutes and can take up to 24 hours. Once verified, links on that domain can carry a title, description, and image you wrote, plus separate copy per channel.
Yes. For a link on a domain you have not verified, the default share address keeps the destination host and path in it, and that is the address the app shows and copies. Once you verify domain ownership, links on that domain default to the short form instead. Both addresses lead to the same link, because the lookup key is the same either way.

Messengers and social platforms cache link cards on their own servers. trim.page tells them not to cache the card, but one already posted in a chat keeps the old values until that platform reads the link again. You can edit the card of a link you already shared, on the edit screen in your link list. After editing, use the cache reset tool each platform provides so it reads the card again. For KakaoTalk, paste the address into the sharing debugger (https://developers.kakao.com/tool/debugger/sharing) and reset it.
The link stops forwarding and shows an expiry notice instead. Choose 7, 30, or 90 days, or no expiry. You can change the expiry later, on the edit screen in your link list. Moving the date into the future opens an expired link again.
Anyone can report one. Submit the link and a reason on the report page in the footer, or email abuse@trim.page. A reported link moves to under review and goes through a notice screen before anyone is forwarded, and a confirmed violation is blocked. Repeat violators lose their account.
